I can crack 150 with ease, but never really tried to top it out. Thats a ticket straight to jail if you get caught. lol. When its time to just haul ass, I just pull out the Gixxer 1000. Thats a plenty...

98 T/A M6 bolt ons 3.73, and mail order tune, will bury the 155 in 5th gear still pulling, anything past 155 is just guessing.

Sorry for mixing my metric and imperial....149MPH and it was 6 degrees C...so about 47F

And for the record, I don't think I had to worry about hitting a deer or moose...they're fast but I don't think they could catch the WS6

lol, actually I wasn't on a pubic road...and the area had 8' animal fenses, so not much to worry about.
The WS6 (stock) did handle very well though, felt very stable and in control, even braked nicely from 149 down to 65 (I eased into it very gently of course, as you do Everything gently at that speed) but it gripped hard and held straight and predictable.

yikes ur lucky ur alive bikes are so steady tho I feel safer on them a lot of times cause the size gives u more options to bail

My SS was stock (no tuning whatsoever), but my 02 is cammed and tuned, it pulls way harder up top too. Me and my friend were messing around on the highway a few weeks ago and he hit 150 and I was still pulling him so I dont know how fast I was going.

OP the speedo could also be somewhat off too, remember at those speeds speedos tend to be off a little bit.

I'm with you. My R1 limits out at 187MPH, tried to get past it many times. I got out of it in the SS but I think the speedo was pegged anyway...

Isn't topping these out part of regular maintenance? Thought I saw that in the manual...

Stock limiter on WS6 and SS was 162mph. When I had my WS6, I hit the rev limiter in 5th gear playing with a bike. I've yet to even try to hit the top end on the SS, but traps close to 130 mph in the 1/4 mile.
