    Top question...

What is NEEDED to remove the middle bar on a T-top car and not have it fold? I already have SFCs.... But would like to find a place to get a custom top created like the Vette's all one piece.. no middle bar.

I know that bar prevents the car from folding in half.. but 'Verts don't have it.. so there has to be a way around it.... Ideas?

Bikini tops are SEXY. I've never seen an f-body with one. That would be sweet IMO. Back on topic, I would try and find out what the factory did to strengthen the frame and go from there. I doubt they did much more than the equivalent to SFC's. Maybe a good collision repair shop would know if there's any major differences in the frames.

Good luck man, I would LOVE to see some pics afterwards. Great idea.

The Corvette has a compete (full) frame. The Camaro and Firebird has a frame on only the front half of the car.

I believe the windshield frame and supports are very stout on removable roof vettes so i don't know if the camaro would have anything close to stiff enough.

    BMR says,
"Enjoy the same features as the above when using BMR's convertible subframe connectors. While GM attempted to reinforce the convertibles floorpan with formed sheetmetal, nothing increases chassis rigidity like a pair of subframe connectors. Constructed with 1-5/8" rollcage tubing and laser cut, 1/4" weld plates, these subframe connectors will change the "feel" of your convertible"

I suppose I should have specified.. this would be going on the 3rd gen Camaro... not my 4th gen. Prob doesn't make much difference.... but still going SFCs.....
