Navy Blue Metallic- 98 T/A w/ mods, 00 FBVert
Time for shopping, need some input
Ok guys, need some input.
Mommy has approved $1200.00 for me to be able to spend on my T/A when out return comes in.
My signature has what I have done to my car so far. Future goals are a solid street car with some track. For now I want a solid street car.
So far I plan on these items:
LS7 Clutch Kit (Need)
Tune by Frost (Need)
O2 sensors (Need, still on the ones that came from factory)
SLP Airlid
Sub Frame connectors - currently looking @ UMI weld in
Strut tower Brace - again UMI
And if I still have any left over - Hurst Shifter.
I'm not totally sold on UMI, willing to listen to others opinion.
The clutch and tune are a must!
In regards to the Clutch, I replaced last summer the Master & Slave cylinders (Didn't have $$ to replace clutch at the time) and I have 2 questions about this?
1) Will I have to drain the slave and refill the fluid?
2) What else do I need to replace in regards the clutch kit? My understanding it comes with the Pressure Plate, Disc, Flywheel and bolts.Last edited by SMWS6TA; 02-02-2010 at 08:57 AM.

I would skip the strut tower brace. Spend the money on the shifter or control arms. Possibly some koni shocks for the rear.

I went with UMI everything on our car - bolt in SFC's, LCA's, panhard and tunnel mount torque arm. The fit and quality of their pieces is very good imo. No hesitation in recommending their products.

2nd that. I put bolt-in SFCs from UMI on my car late summer. After dribing it since new it made a tremendous difference in the feel of the car. The quality of the parts is very good.

I want to get the body solid first. Next project new hood and paint body, then either a H/C/I, Stroker, or just go all out and get a LS6. But that is in the future, I need to pace my wallet and not give household 6 a stroke by getting everything at once.
Mr Luos vids are my inspiration

Bolt ins vs weld in - can't you weld the bolt in later?

yes you can weld them in at a later date.
The weld ins are cheaper though
Thanks,
Mark
