    Third Brake Light

    This is wierd...

    My third brake light is screwing up...

    It won't come on unless the rear defroster is on, even then it's bright as if I'm pressing the brake...

    It won't come on anyother way

    Any ideas how to fix this?

    PS: this is probably relevent...when I press the brake (all the time) the defroster light comes on my dash...

    Well, I got it fixed today at my local garage, cost me $216. Apparently, the wires for the defroster and the third brake light were switched. Do you think GM would reimburse me for a factory flaw?

    Sounds like someone had swapped them on ya, someone who didnt know what they were doing for whatever reason. Ie Replaced spolier, had an issue and they thought that would solve it but put the wires Ass backwards.
