Thinking about putting a cam in my Trans Am

Im Thinking about putting a cam in my car, but im still in the air about which one. i was just on you tube, and i was listening to a car that had one of thunder racings cams in it, and it sounded pretty good. this is the specs on the cam i think 224/230 .591/.604 and the link to the video [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DrxTGb-JhE&feature=related[/ame]

My car is a 1999 Trans Am with 140,000 miles.

My mods on my car are MTI Clear intake Lid, K&N filter, LS6 intake, p&p tb, tb bypass, 3:73 gears full exhaust(headers, ory, cut out, and a flowmaster muffler) the flowmaster will soon be replaced with a magnaflow, free ram air mod. i also deleted the AIR and the EGR.

The engine is in good condition.

Just need some info on picking a good cam with a great idle and not too much of a big lobe that sounds good, and that gives me a good considerable amount of power with the set up that i have. feed back is greatly appreciated.

Is that a M6 or A4? Are you just after the thump or do you really care about ET's?

hmm not really wanting to put a stall converter on, because i drive the car everyday, and i already have 3:73 gears installed. i basically just want a cam that will make the car sound good, and give it a little more power if not alot of power.

Your contradicting yourself. Make up your mind friend. Which one is it? If you want to go from point A to point B quicker ....then do a stall. Has no effect at all on daily driving. NONE. If you want to impress the kids at the Dairy Queen with your mean sounding idle...then go with a cam....but make up your mind then we can go from there.

Check out scoggin-dickey's z+221 cam (sdpc.com) gives you a cam sound but doesn't require a higher stall converter.that's what they told me at least.I had a bad experience with thunderracing so I would caution you to look elsewhere first.

Ok well I want the car to sound good lol sorry to confuse ya sarge. I know I lost some gas mileage by swapping from 2:73's to 3:73's, and that helped me out on acceleration. Now I just want the car to sound good....like a cam that won't require me to change the injectors.
