    Maybe, but, the SLP fan switch has three variable speed settings. How would you achieve that by grounding out two wires? When you ground the two wires you're speaking of, are the fans on low or high?

    Cool fan

    Ok the way the fans work is they constantly have 12volts but they have no ground and the way the computer turns them on is by supply a ground so thats how they are tuned on by gounding them. A buddy of mine done his camaro like that by using two fog light switches to ground the fans one is for low and the other is for high speed. Works great at the dragstrip

    are you losing any fluid anywhere? could be air in the system, or coolant sensor.

    in 1998 the temp gauge worked good. the 99-02 temp gauge don't work as good must be cheaper gauges. steering wheel radio buttons are cheaper than in 98 also.
