    tcs button question....

I was wondering if it is indeed possible to hard wire the tcs so it's always off? i would imagine it's possible because it's just a switch and a few wires..... i have this idea of using the switch for my line lock..... just wondering if it's been done and if anyone would happen to know what wires to connect to keep the tcs off? oh and does anyone know what size brake line the front is? i noticed the lines from the master cylinder are different sizes..... much thanks!!!!

There is a switch made that defaults tcs to off when you start the car, here is a link for one from one of the sponsors, http://www.lmperformance.com/3449/.html

i've seen the modules that you can plug in and it reverses the switch operation..... but what i want is to hook up a few wires bypassing the switch so i can make it available to use for my line lock.... just wanted to make it sneaky...... i can't believe no one's thrown the idea around.... any help????

you could wire in a second default off T/C switch and tuck it under the console then use the exposed one for your line lock... maybe?

The ABS module is looking for a 'momentary' ground signal from the switch. I think if you hard wire that signal wire to ground it might set the ABS/TCS light to come on for a faulty switch or it might not switch over to TCS off. But it might be worth to see what happens.

how hard is it to turn your TCS off? IMHO i would dump those 71 bucks elsewhere.

Honestly its not hard but I often forget to and wish it would just stay off unless I wanted it on. Once that idea gets in someones head its hard to shake and everytime I forget to turn it off I get more and more irratated.

I had a few things unhooked in my car... center console window switches, tcs, and a few others. while they were unhooked my display read(fuel gauge error) and none of the gauges worked. I didn't isolate which switch was causing it but when I put everything back in the gauges worked fine
