Tb spacer
Hey Guys. Any one of you have a throttle body spacer on your car?
I been triyin to put it on my ls1 but it's gettn hard to make it fit
the cable it's too short for the throttle body body with the spacer.
So any ideas bout wat to do?
And I put an adaptor for the cable bracket and it still don't fit right

Honestly, I would return it if you can. There isn't any gain (HP or torque) from these on our cars. I have personally called Helix and the tech said they don't have any gain.

Are you serious? Damn I hate to spend money on somethin useless.
I have ported stock throttle body and the spacer. So I could feel a diference but it's jst givin me lot of throuble to put it on
if isn't gonna work so I'm jst gonna take it off.

A good porting of the TB and MAF will have more effect than a TB spacer, IMO.
One way to look at the benefits of a TB spacer would to be look at most applications. Meaning, most vehicles intake air flow elbows at some point, even as much as taking a 90 degree turn. The TB spacer is suppose "cyclone" or puts a "spin" on this misdirected air flow, ideally providing, at least according to most manufactures, more/better airflow. They don't conduct these tests on every car, so everycar will have a different result because most cars differ inwhich the air flows in. Keep in mind that the TB spacer has to make contact with the air inorder to put this "spin" on it. Since we have a realitive straight and short shot right into the intake, your putting something in the way, and slowing it down.
Smoothing out the TB allows air to flow smoother and since your "shaving" the material down, it allows alittle more air through. Improving overall air flow.

Oh ok I get it. So on our car we don't need spacer?
I'll sell it and I'm jst gonna use that mone for something else. I'm learnin alot here and workin on my car. I like that. My next project are the headers and high flows cats. I'll see how it works
the ported throttle body works good
