    stuck gas pedal

    this is the second time this has happen 2nd gear pedal half way down and does not return?? i have to shut the car down. wtf

    check your cable first and make sure that it isn't snagging on something or binding. Then look at the return spring on the tb and make sure it isn't gummed up and is functioning like it should. Lastly, check the butterfly on your tb and clean it.
    Either way don't drive the car until you figure out and fix whatever the problem is. Extremely dangerous situation you're in.

    it almost feels the cruise control is stuck on.

    I almost asked you if your cruise was in the on position when it happened? I've read where people have totaled cars by driving around with it in the on position. Took me a ton of bitching to get my wife to stop doing it. Leave it in the on position and then be in a parking lot or something and hit the resume by accident.

    well the first time it happen it was in the on position. so today i checked it to make sure it was off and it was.

    That same thing happened to me right after my ECU install/tune. It never did that with the original GM PCM, only after I changed it. Did it a few times, and then never did it again. Wierd.

    Make sure the floormat isn't catching it when you mash it down.
    Pull it back towards the seat if you can.

    Ive had the issue of my detent cable sticking. It caused mine to stay in a lower gear and neutral to drive feels like a neutral drop.

    i pushed the gas pedal down with my hand and it was getting stuck on the corner of the floor mat. i have aftermarket pedals so its fixed. thats sooo dam scary when the pedal is stuck.
