He guys. I'm thinking bout lowering my car
but right now I dnt have the money to buy aftermarket springs
I was told I can cut the stock springs. Does that really works?
Is that a good idea?

it will lower your car, but its not a good idea. Your handling will suffer

You can do the hose mod on the rear. Lowers like 3/4".
I personally would just wait until you can afford BOTH lowering springs and upgraded shocks.

My friend has Koni's and cut his coils on his 99 Z28 and honestly it rides and handles well maybe the koni's help also but I was impressed. My car rides better with mt BMR1.25" drop and AGX's but his still rode and handled pretty good. I barely noticed except on some choppy streets.

I bought my car with 2 coils cut out in the front springs... rode so rough, i gritted my teeth every time I saw a bump. I would defiantly wait if I were you. Hotchkis (spell) makes good springs for pretty cheap.

You do not want to cut your stock springs 98maro. Your ride comfort will suffer. If you have great shocks like Koni's, then you might be able to get away with it. The stock shocks can't handle it though.
