that's not even an option in the 98's tune I don't think Shady. I'd have to look at my file but I'm pretty sure it's not even an option.

Do you have headers with a.i.r. and e.g.r ports on them? If so have you checked to make sure there's no leak there and are you sure that leak around the intake has been fixed? Spray a little carb cleaner around the intake and vac lines with the car running and if there's a leak you'll find it.

hmm what about my map ?? what if my map sensor is either damaged or not sealing correctly..if i remember right..the orange weird rubber seal was damaged a little on the top "ring"..i wonder if that is stopping it from sealing right..and throwing the lean codes..or even a damaged map..giving incorrect readings ?? ehh this facking thing !

In my experience with GM cars, lean on both banks is usually caused by a bad MAF sensor or low fuel pressure. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

hmm..true..i was thinking about that..its just that my idle is still jumpy and now i have the lean codes after changing my manifold...i will give the maf a shot..if i unplug the maf..it jumps into sd mode correct and then relies on the map sensor correct?

if eveyrthing is fine mechanically and your 02s are in good working order and your maf is working properly then id point at the tune needs a little adjusting.

your put a better flowing intake on the motor some of the tune will need adjusted.

hmm unplugged my maf..and ran it..rpms would dip when ever i had the brake pedal engaged...also the rpms would drop from about 1k to 500rpm when i shifted into gear..it would sputter and almost stall..then would slowly raise the rpms until about 6-800rpm...with the maf installed the rpms stayed constant at idle..even with the brake pedal engaged..it would maybe only change in rpm 100..but could audiably hear it changing..when put into gear it would not drop...on the back of the intake..the map clip is broken ..so there is nothing to hold the map..besides the hole that the sensor goes into. the orange gasket thing for the map is ripped pretty bad on the ring closest to the tip of the sensor..i would say half of the ring is ripped..should i take a picture and show you guys?

The orange gasket should be enough to hold it in. yeah a picture would be good.

AH, I hear man. I just spent another 230 on 42# injector

100 bucks on detailing and oil

    200 on DMH ecutout

And next weekend will be 4.11 gears and install kit. Never ends.

QTP is the headers you were looking for right?

you can see the rubber that is missing

    now how it should look

fack so is it worth replacing and do you guys think this sensor might not be sealing well enough and causing a leak or a bad reading ?
