I would take it to a shop and have them check it out unless you are capable of jacking it up and checking it yourself.

Yeah I did the tie rod ends and measured everything up correctly. Ive checked everything. I hope that it isnt the tie rod themselfs going out...

Had this same problem in my Camaro. It's not the ball joints its a special seal in the steering shaft. If i'm not mistaken the parts only like $30 but the labor is insane on the fix. I'll look and try to come up with a part # asap.

Take it somewhere and have them check the balljoints, you don't want to have one break on you.

lvbroham1, give me all the info on it when you get the chance. Ive checked the ball joints and there is no play. Everything looks good. Im going to take apart everything this weekend and paint the caliper brackets and calipers and do some cleaning. Ill look for that "special seal"

alright, I looked and found the part # the guy gave me. it's the bearing kit for the shaft. The gm part # is 26032824. Hope this helps. The guy told me old chevy 4x4 trucks have the same problem, but most people don't fix it, they just live with it cause of the price of labor. It won't mess up anything if your alignment and everything else is ok.

P.S. if you look up the part # on gmpartsdirect it will show you the location of those bearings.

I think you might have to search for it in their parts catalog. Just put in year make and model then click on steering gear and linkage, then bearing assembly. I should say next to it view illustration. Click on that. It will show you a lay out of where it's located at and what parts are around it.
