    steering question

ok so I had my alignment done at pontiac a few weeks ago, it was off. I knew it was off b/c the steering wheel was on a bit of a slant when going straight. they said they fixed it. well after a say of driving it, i noticed that on most roads while the car tracks straight by itself the wheel is slanted a bit to the right. So I took it back to pontiac, they said they would fix it. AGAIN. I told them the car was tracking fine but the wheel is slanted, and they said yes we did everything we could to get the wheel as straight as possible, and I quote "I am sure you will be please with the result".....well guess what...its still doing it........anyone else have this problem...it doesnt always do it but i would say about 80% of the time....

most likely its from the crown and ruts of the road. If the alignment is good and when parked on a level surface and, the wheels are straight with the steering straight that could be the cause.

Other wise the alternative would be to try to adjust it where the sterring shaft joins the rack. Just how bad is it?
There is some slack in the steering too when at center.

no there isnt much slack at all, sometimes the tilt to the right is worse then other times....it seems almost non existent at lower speeds......most of the time its there though, just a slight bit to the right

Just going out a limb here see if the caliper is dragging on that side or if the bearing is stiff. How new are the tires? Measure the circumfrince.

is it also possible that if you've been in need of a wheel alignment for a long time that you've worn the tread on the tires improperly and now its treading differently, and thus pulling ever so slightly to one side?
