SS water problems
Anybody else have problems with water leaking in through the trunk? When it rains, water some how gets in and ends up around the rear speaker panel. Can't figuure out what it is.

Might have to spend some time sitting in your car in the rain listening to the radio to try and locate or follow the path.

I had that problem with my 98 Z. I wound up adjusting the hatch hinges to even out the hatch to the car. I am sure that is not a common problem, but you could check it. Make sure the bump stops are not adjusted to high. After doing all of that I still noticed a tiny bit of water getting in. Well, it was the weather stripping. It was not completely glued to the car.

While I've never had such a problem on any of the three 4th gens I've had (still own two), I would think the the rubber weather strip is not glued properly somewhere or is damaged (cut or hole in it). Second guess would be a bump stop adjusted too high.
Place some towels on the inside edge and close the lid. Use your water hose and spray some water (simulating rain) on it. Open your lid and check for the wet spot(s) on the towels. Then you'd know where the leak is.

I actualy had the same issue with every camaro i have owned, with my 01 ss it only got wet when i drove in the rain, come too find out under the rear quater panel, there is a Piece of plastic behind the wheel that grabs the water off of the tire that would allow it too get into the hatch area. Driver side.
Like said above thou check out your stops and weather stripping.
J2001 SS, Its not the car its the Driver that matters....

water problem
Check the sides of the tracks where water is supposed to drain down towards the tail light and drain out.If the car sits outside alot the little drain holes get clogged with leafs and tree shit and will clog up and water will just lye in there until you drive around and it gets sloshed into the trunck area Dosent cost money for this check LOL good luck
