    squeeky pulley...

My pulley is very very very squeeky. Its an ASP crank pulley. My friend had a similar problem with his 02 SS (stock pulley). Some jerkoff told him to spray a little WD-40 on it. He did it, it ran good for about 5 minutes, then the belt came off the pulley and just tore into peices. I wasnt there but he said it sounded like a chainsaw. Im not even gonna do anything like that to my car, but how do i fix it. Im thinking about double checking it tommorow morning and calling ASP just to double check and c if they know whats wrong. Its been a solid few months since i put it in the car. And it only happend when the engine reaches operating temp. When its cold theres no sound. ANY1???

There is absolutely no way WD-40 would have hurt anything. Whatever was wrong with your friends belt was going to happen anyway.

Sort of hard to believe the squeek is being caused by the crank pulley. How old is your serpentine belt? If you spray it with some belt dressing and it quiets down, it's time for a new serpentine.
