What type of pads did you install? In my experience, carbon pads are very squeaky and some of the ceramic pads can be also. Not much you can do about it!!

Did you use the "Anti Squeal" red spray on the back of the pads?, if not that probably is your problem.

never heard of the stuff. ill have to go get some.
bought it, but forgot to.
ok, so i should be able to just take the caliper off and spray the bads with 'anti squeak', and then spray the rotors with brake parts cleaner. i just have to wait for it to stop being so damned cold.

Clean all metal on metal contact.
The red "de-squeak" also comes in a tube and can be applied by hand. Use that on all metal to metal contact within the caliper. Including the back side of the brake pads. I actually use it on the back side of the rotors as well, makes them easier to come off for the next time.
Just dont use it on the pads themselves or where they contact the rotor.

Apply the desqueak to the back side, all over it if you want to be thorough. If your concerned with it being sloppy onl apply it where the calipers make contact with the back of the pad.

Metal rubbing on metal causes the squeaking. Ideally, no metal should be moving and making contact except for the rotor and brake pad, but this isn't a purely metal on a metal contact due to the composition of the pad. But obviously, many things move and shift around so the high amounts of friction cause noise.
If it is the pad on rotor contact causing the noise, I have heard of a product you spray on the rotor to reduce this noise, but I do not reccomend it.

Take the squeeky side apart and make sure it's all there properly, if so, reassemble with the de-sqeak crap and make sure you didn't drop the one that has the wear indicator and bend it. Make sure it has proper clearance. Also you didn't say wether it squeeks all the time or when stopping.

At my job, we either spray the rotors/pads with brake cleaner or we sand the rotors to allow the pads to set properly.
