    solid motor mounts?

    what are the benifits and draw-backs? im wondering if i should get some when i do a tube k-member. i know sphon is the is the only one that makes 'em for thier k-member

    I was also wondering about this since now with the cam the motor likes to rock alot. I know eventually itll prob bust a mount. How hard are these to switch?

    we use them in our race cars and the motor and drive train vibration is transmitted thru the hole car--veeeery noticable

    Us GTO guys have modified the Stiffy. Fricking outstanding with no vibration.

    I've ran solid mounts for years in other cars with no issues at all. Even my daily driver Monza had solid mounts with a thumpy 406,,,and you wouldn't know it riding in it.
    I also have a ventura with solid mounts,,,can't tell riding in it unless I told you. Smooth as silk.

    On a 4th gen I can't comment from my own experience, but plenty of others that do it. I can't imagine it being a problem in a car that is more refined and quieter than some of the old stuff I do it on,,,,

    I agree with the above. Many state they "suffer" from vibration but I just never had it. My question is did you go with a solid or poly trannie mount at the same time? I always did.

    Yes sir I did go with poly tranny mounts on them.

    i only notice vibe letn clutch out in 1 st, i i do it perfectly there is no vibe

    Well if you want to keep the stockers,,,I personally at the very least like to run a torque strap.
