    Smoke up my butt

ok so i was planning on ordering a intake and i found this K&N Generation II. this is what it says

The Generation II FIPK® is K&N's ultimate performance product, designed to increase power by as much as 10%. Most FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with a 10 Year/ Million Mile Limited Warranty. K&N intake systems replace your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your vehicle's engine to inhale a larger volume of air than the OEM air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The filters on these kits are washable and reusable. Most of our intake kits are relatively easy to install using tools commonly available

does any one have it because a 10 percent gain would be something. do you think its true or are they blowing smoke up my butt?

probly a fire not smoke, the manf.s can bascailly saw what ever they want with out the cert. from a third party giving it a true hp. but for the most part manuf.s may have gotin 10% better then stock from the best motor, best parts, weather, tune, and and power adder , but for a stock car no.

A 10% increase for a FIPK is very optimistic. WS-6 is rated at 320 hp, so a 32 hp increase is not too probable. My guess would be 5 to 8 hp over your WS-6 air intake. You already have ram air so just get a lid and a K&N filter. Just my opinion. Good luck and great car.

It is called marketing....they will say whatever pops into their pea size brains until folks complain to the BBB. Then they will defend their claims with bullshit "dyno" runs.......

Yah, but a $70 lid will probably net around 5rwhp for 1/5 the price.
