    slp power pak

Hi all, this is my first post, but I have been reading this forum for a long time. I have a '98 formula with 67xxx original miles. I am ready for upgrades!

I am considering the SLP performance pack (350hp) including the lid, cold air intake, smooth bellow mod and the loudmouth II catback system for ~ $700 from their website. Is this pak worth the price?? How do the loudmouth II's sound?? This will continue to be a daily driver but with upgrades.

    Looking for your professional opinions....

    Thank, Mark

I can let you know what it sounds like with LT headers and ORY.

as for the price.. Its not to bad seeing as it comes from SLP but you could save a little money just going with the LM, SLP lid and K&N filter. you don treally need the bellow and you can mod your intake box for free. I believe there is a write up somewhere on here

    Not worth it.
Plus...the 350HP SLP claims isn't at the wheels. It is flywheel.
And the LS1 makes that at the flywheel stock.

Loudmouth is a good catback....IF you plan on not modding anything else on the exhaust. Otherwise...get something else. With headers my Loudmouth sounded horrible...so bad I got rid of it.

Smooth bellows are an appearance mod. No power gains.

Lid is a good thing and the only part I would consider buying from SLP.

Here is a web site of LS1 sounds. It gives you an idea of what they sound like. http://www.ls1sounds.com/

Thanks for the input guys. Sounds like just because it comes as a package doesn't always mean the best deal. Looks like I'll shop a bit more. I am definately looking at the lid and a catback exhaust. I didn't want the exhaust to be "raspy" and I never heard the Loudmouth II's.
