Mine is long gone as well.
Was nice when the car was stock.
Then I added headers. I didn't like how it sounded, but at the time, I couldn't justify spending any $$ for a new catback.
Then I added a cam. Not a week later I hacked off the Loudmouth. Sounded good at idle, and terrible anywhere else in the RPM's. Couldn't take it anymore. Loud and sounded like poo. Ran open y-pipe for a while.

Now...everything has changed. Car is very loud now (custom duals) but I hope to change that soon. But at least it sounds really good, just too loud.

    Asking me??
I already have custom 3" duals on mine with Kooks 1 7/8" longtubes. Bullit mufflers. That is what I am going to change. Mufflers don't do anything for the car right now.

Oh ok, I thought you were unhappy with the duals.

    Oh no.
Just hard to keep a heavy cammed 402 semi-quiet.

Yeah I can see where it would be. But it's alot of fun to wake up the neighbors.

I love my loudmouth, but would be weary of putting it on a car with headers. A kid down the block from me has a 01 A4 Z28 with headers and a loudmouth and it sounds like crap. very raspy the best way I can describe it is like a old truck with cherry bombs on it. If you want noise, than your headed in the right direction. But from his personal expierence, the people that look at him are not looking because the car is so loud, they're looking cus they're wondering "what the Hell is that"?

i guess i got lucky, im keeping the loudmouth 2 because i really like the way it sounds
it has a nice deep aggressive tone
its loud now so i cant imagine how much louder it will get with the resonator in place of the bullet muffler, no thanks
