Just got my new SLP lid yesterday and had to use the hair dryer, but it eventually went in.

Take off the MAF and stick it in the freezer...don't laugh it helps! Just don't touch the sensors inside. Check the other SLP lid posts here - http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80992
