SLP lid
Got the SLP lid and put it in. It doesn't fit like the stock and tried bending the clips a little to make it lock in and broke the plastic retaining clip so now the locking metal clip will not stay. I need some way to lock it without using the metal clips.

push the lid up towards the threshold more....Take the front part of the lid and underlip it on the stock part of the underlying plastic...it should clip down fine

You have to shove it back far enough so the front edge of the lid is inside the lip of the lower box.
Only then will it clip shut.

I always thought that if the factory stuff fit as bad as this aftermarket shit did we would'nt let this shit go. But we let it go without saying anything cause it gives us 3 extra HP..........Always somebody complaining about how these lids fit and we keep on bying them......Great isn't it ??????
Just a rant guys...........2000 NBM WS6

I just installed my SLP lid and had a bit of trouble with it. My front edge partially OVERLAPS the lower box. It didn't seem to want to do anything else. Will this be ok? I wasn't sure if it was supposed to go inside, over, or sit mesh with it.
You can sort of see here in the picture. I can get a better pic of it tomorrow.

PEWTER- 2002 Camaro Super Sport
It ain't easy putting the SLP lid on. I couldn't get it on, until I heated up the MAF end to get it to fit in the MAF. Used a blow dryer and it slipped right on. Then the lid wouldn't fit right, and I wasn't getting a good seal, so I cut a bit off the bellows to allow the lid to move further back, allowing it to clip on and get a great seal.

I just rinsed the part of the lid that fits to the MAF with hot water for about a minute and it went right on, no issues. I put tape all around the lid to seal it as best as i can and was done with it.

Trimming the smooth bellows shorter is the key to making the SLP lid fit well.
