    SLP cold air induction

does anyone have pictures of the SLP cold air induction package (the metal ram air box) installed on a car? all they ever show is what you get with the kit...i've never seen it installed.

where is it fitted? i haven't had much experience under the hood of the f-body to understand how this thing fits in the compartment.

okay so do a google search (duh right)...anyway found this pic. can anyone explain how this is oriented and where it is drawing the air mass from?

is this an advanced expensive version of the free "cut your airbox mod"?

bASICALLY you have to cut a hole right under the air filter. It has to be the size of the metal piece they give you. So it basically suck air from underneath the car. If you buy one just make sure you do not drive into puddles of water, because it is like a vacuum and it will suck water into the intake. Djvaley, a member here, has that system and had that problem. Good thing for him, he now has an LS2.

he went into a river / huge puddle/ small pond. it's a basic mod and works well with the others.

I like the ram air too! The SSRA is pretty cool. Just be careful in the rain.
