SLP airlid
I installed a slp air lid 2 days ago and today as i was merging onto the highway my ses light came on. The codes were 0137 and 0157. There codes used to regularly pop up on my car until i realized that it was a dirty MAF. Once i cleaned it the code never returned. A few months went by with no light. But now with the new slp lid the codes have returned. I'm thinking it might have to do with the fact that the lid does not attach to the MAF as good as the old one. The factory one was notched to fit the MAF and the SLP one is not. Any help would be appreciated as these codes (though not major) really annoy the hell out of me.

I maybe mistaken, but 0137 and 0157 has nothing to do with your MAF sensor. It has to do with your O2 sensors after your cats. If you aftermarket cats, they are located further away from your heads and takes longer to heat up. Take your car to Auto Zone and have the codes cleared. When starting you car, put your ignition key into the on position for about 20 seconds to allow the sensors' heaters to heat up. Then start your car. This should help in your situation. It is extremely rare for you have both cats going out exactly the same time. I hope this helps.
0137 - HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
0157 - HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2

I know that it has nothing to do with the MAF but someone else on here told me to try that and it worked. When the codes apeared the first time i replaced those two 02 sensors and the codes came right back. That means it wasn't the 02s and that those were a waste of money.

Two questions, what kinda air filter are you running? and did you manage to damage or break the air temp sensor? "the sensor in the lid"
The codes you are throwing are for 02 heater circuit low voltage on b1 s2 and b2 s2, you said you replaced the front two sensors right?2001 SS, Its not the car its the Driver that matters....

I have a K&N filter in there that is about 3 months old. I don't think i damaged the air temp sensor, but i did have a tough time getting it out of the old lid to put in the new one - so it is possible.
And yes i replaced the 02s in bank 1 sensor 2 and back 2 sensor 2.

Just checking.
Check your wiring harnesses for the O2's maybe. Make sure none of the wires got burnt.

Yeah i will, but i don't think its that. I don't know if this helps but the ses light always come on in my car during the same type of driving. I like to make use of my LS1 while merging and really get on it. It comes on when i am in the upper rev range. It always is above 60mph and has happened while in 2nd sometimes or when i downshift from 6th to 5th and hit it.

71,000 miles - cats are stock to my knowledge. I bought it with 61,000. I really think that the problem might be under the hood though because they car has not had the light on for months and now i change the lid and its back on but i don't know for sure.

What lid??
Trying to remember if there is a difference in the 98-00 lids to the 01-02 lids.
I think there was something to do with the air pump.
But I still can't see that throwing those codes.
I got those codes back when I did my longtubes. I ended up having the codes turned off in the computer.
Mine was because I had hi-flow cats and the rear sensors were basicly reading that the cats weren't doing their jobs.

i installed a lid two days ago and now i have the code and thats why i think they are related
there is a difference in the lids - there is another sensor or something(i don't know what) towards the front of the lid on the driver side for the newer cars 01-02. I know because this lid is for 98-02 and the package came with a plug to fill the whole since i have a '99
How do i turn off the codes in the computer?

A tuner would do it.
Unless you have software.

Hopefully someone else will pop in and have an idea for you.

If your confident that the problem is related to the air lid, put the old one on for a day or two and see if it goes away.
