    slow blinkers, new flasher?

Hi, this is a new fix for me to tackle. The blinkers are slow and inconsistent on both the left and right, I've been able to figure put through the forums it's prolly the flasher. SO, for a 2002 Formula, where IS the little devil, how do I get it out, and when I replace it Adv Discount auto has the 'electronic' and 'non-electronic' flashers, which is mine? thanks for any help, LS1 has helped me though much bigger fixes hopefully this is a quicky

you can use either but I prefer electric ones. The sucker is right underneath the dash by the driver's side area. It is mounted on a clip to the metal parts of the dash structure. If you have problems finding it i can see if i can put a pic for you.

Thx! ok I'm gonna hafta ask the silly questions now... Do i have to remove that plastic kick cover underneath to see it? If I can see it what does it look like? And is it near the code reader port or closer to the door?

This may seem obvious, but turn on the the left or right turn signal and try to find where the clicking is coming from. The T/sig flasher makes the clicking noise.

I replaced my flasher, thinking it was the T/S flasher. The hazards flash like they are suppose to, but the T/S comes on and if I hold my mouth right, it flashes maybe every 4 seconds, other times the green arrow indicators on my dash never come on at all. I have camped out under my dash for hours and could only find one flasher. Are you telling me there is another one hidden somewhere?????

Jay, that was an incredible photo shoot for this issue. Thank you very much for the step by step procedure and showing where the T/S flasher is. I found the hazard flasher earlier and have replaced it. Question, is the T/S flasher the same flasher as the hazard flasher as in LL553 I think it is??

Thanks. I'm glad the write up help you out. the flasher is the same one for both aplications. Any will work unless you have LEDs:
LL552 is electronic( can use with LEDs)
EL12 is electro-mechanic(i have this one with my LEDs)
LF12 is the OEM type one (can't use LEDs)

I ask the moderator to make it a sticky for future reference.

Excellent idea. I see now why you are in Tech Support for LS1.com. Nothing like having someone who puts themselves in your place and will do something to alleviate the problems at hand. Thanks again Jay.
