    Question Sloooooow Blinking Blinker

I throw my blinker on in either direction and it blinks so freakin slow compared almost EVERY car out on the road. I have a 2000 Z28 and was wondering if this is just a general GM fault in these cars or that I need to adjust it or put a fix on it...Help me out, thanks!

Look at your voltage gauge-I'm betting you have a high voltage or overcharge-or maybe a low voltage and undercharge-it depends on the circuit. Not sure what these f-bodies would do,try revving the engine and see if it changes speed of blink or voltage level. It could be as simple as the flasher going bad also-try changing that,it'll only cost a couple bucks at Auto dummy. I just bought some cool electronic flashers that have a constant rate of flash no matter what the load, they cost about $9 a piece for you big spenders, also at AZ.

Mine slows down or even stops when the blinker portion of the light burns out. These aren't the best sealed connections for lights I've even seen...

Have you gotten out and checked to make sure they're working? Just a suggestion based on what happens with mine.

Yea I know what ya mean. On my car if one bulb goes out, it won't flash at all... I'm probably gonna make an attempt at replacing the flasher. Seems like when I fix one thing (The trunk latch) I got 3 more projects.

Sorry about the dumb question but wth is the signal flasher. I started taking the knee bolster apart and chiltons says that it's right there. Am I blind?

    Wow.
Didn't realize this thread was so old.

Mine has since gone out. I replaced the flasher, all better.
Flasher is under the dash on the driver's side. Near the radio.

yeah. lol... I found another post of yours shortly after that gave away the location. That damn thing was hiding. Chilton's guide said it was to the left of the steering column.

Thanks Luos. Switched out those front blinkers with some nice LED's. They'll never get hot and melt my bulb housing again.
