Black- 2002 Camaro ss
Slight vibration ?
I've had my 2002 ss for about three months, it has 63000 miles.
I've started to notice a slight vibration from the rear end.
I'm sure it has the original Goodyear eagle tires, they look as though they have a little less than half their tread left, I'm wondering if new tires are the answer or maybe the universal joint ?
Any advice ?
Thanks

Rotate the tires and see if it changes...... Or even spend the $15 and go to your local Discount Tire and get them rebalanced.
U joint I dought.Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

I will rotate them this weekend.
I see you have a GTO. How do you like your car ?
I know they are built in Austrailia, just wondered ?
GM must make money on those GTO's, even after shipping them all the way back to the states. Guess shipping costs are not a big thing.
Thanks for your advice.

there is now way with that many miles those are the original tires. so what LS2Tuner said, rotate them if the vibration goes up front then you know you need them balanced. good luck

More than likely a tire balance issue. Have them checked, and they will also determine if there are any bent rim issues etc. You may have just thrown a weight or something simple like that.

As I think about it, it could very well be a weight tossed off the wheel.
Thank you for your input.

What gear and trasmission do you have ?
That 1/4 mile time is very impressive.
By the way I love my car with the Loudmouth 11 and 323's
Have been waiting for about a month for my SLP lid to arrive from Marylandspeed. They are unable to get one from SLP.
Saved about 40.00 by buying the lid from them, but can't get me one !
All the best to you guys
Man I love my car.......

It's an A4 car with 3.91's. And the best 60ft on the stock 17's" is is 1.65.
It is a TRUE bolt-on car. Stock manifolds and convertor still. Won't be doing any bolt ins until I break in the 10's.
