    Shop Recommendations - Chicago area

I have a 2001 Formula M6 with 78k miles. Owned since new. It is time to finally do some mods.

I am looking to do the following:

    Change the Shifter
Brakes, (possibly upgrade rotors/calipers if not too expensive)
Cat back exhaust, possibly Flowmaster, or other recommendations
    Skip shift

Since I don't tinker with my car too much, I'd just as soon have a professional do the work, especially if they have a lot of F body, LS1 experience and can make recommendations on the right aftermarket equipment.

Can anyone recommend a good LS1 shop in the Chicago area?

    Thanks for your help.

well you are very close to famous SpeedInc. Its in schaumburg. They are LS1 gods. www.ls1speed.com You can even get an online quote for the work.

Another option would be Power House Performance. Orland - south suburbs. Great guys to deal with. www.phpinc.biz

I have personally done all of those jobs and none are very hard. Brakes, shifter, and ship-shift are easy as pie. And the exhaust isn't too bad, just a little time consuming. But if you want a professional then use one of the shops.

I would say do the shifter your self but I personally go to Finish Line Performance. They did my headers and dynotune.
