SES light pissin me off

so my car runs great 99% of the time. however, everyonce in a while, if i get on it (im a4) the car shifts weird out of first, and accelerates much slower, and then the service engine soon light pops on, and stays on for pry a day then goes off. i had a buddy run a diagnosis on it and he said it ready front and rear bank o2 sensor, what do you think the story is?

Do you have the actual codes? That'll nail down whats going on. There's a pre cat and post cat sensor on each bank. Sensors may not be bad and something else is happening.

I had a similar problem, turned out that the wires running to the sensors had an exposed area and was getting wet.
