    Ben Stiller movie.

Thumbs down SES came on...had code read...what do i do now?

Had the SES come on when i punched it in 2nd and drove hard until 4th. Went to autozone and they said it was a P0357 code and the rest is kinda cryptic:

"the PCM has determined that a malfunction exists in the primary or secondary electrical circuits for ignition coil 'G' "

Definition: Ignition coil primary circuit condition-Coil #7
Explnation: The ignition coil primary circuit is monitored for errors.
    Probably Causes:
    1 ignition coil defective
2 secondary ignition-plugs, wires, cap, rotor
3 poor electrical connection or circuit fault
4 driver circuit fault-ignition module or PCM

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TRANSLATE THIS INTO LAMEMAN'S TERMS?!?!?! I'm just an artist....

also try swapping coil packs, check plugs, swap wires, check wire boots, and what not before you spend any money...

    First thing:

Make sure the plug wire isn't touching the exhaust. Mine did recently and I developed a miss at low rpm's under load. I didn't get a SES light, but it was a very insignificant thing that was remedied easily. Start there, and make sure the connections are good. If it still exists, then do an ohms check on the wire, and check the plug. From what I hear, the coils are pretty reliable and not prone to go out unless the wire has been shorting out first. When you install the boots, use a little silicone spray to help it slide easier and make sure you get that click!!!
