    Post Selecting a braking system

We all have to have our brakes done at some point or another. It would be nice to see/hear about what brake pad and rotor combinations have been successful on your cars. Granted, there will be different combos for different uses (autoX, drag, street, daily driver, etc.) - please include that information in your post. My goal here is to help those who need to be helped regarding brakes. Please include brand names (not necessarily where you bought them as that could be against the rules of the forum). Thanks.

Try using the search feature.....this subject has been discussed plenty,
and it's a great tool to get familiar with.

Ditto on the search. But, on a good note...great all around brakes can be had from the C5 (1 in. bigger diameter rotors plus better calipers). You can find a few places that make the adapter spindal and they just bolt right up after a little cut with the hacksaw. Usually, the fronts can be done for $700~$800 if I remember right.

I went with the Baer Eradispeed rotors coupled to Hawk HPS pads to the stock calipers. I replaced all the stock rubber brake hoses with Earl's Stainless Steel hoses.
