Security Light

Just as the title says....my security light came on. Key hasn't changed and is in the ignition. Came on out of nowhere! Anyone know why? Or how I could get it to go away? It's annoying :/ lol

that happen to me too....someone told me that i need to go to the chevy dealership to get that corrected, it happens every once in awhile......need to wait 5 minutes and wait for the security light to go away and then back to normal

Sounds like a VATS issue - if you haven't done the bypass yet, check out this thread - http://www.ls1.com/forums/f6/how-byp...highlight=VATS

lol it's funny you mentioned the VATS....bcuz this morning it didn't start at all. Brand new battery and the starter won't crank. Clicks once and it's done and I read that the VATS problem can cause that.

vats will disable the starter and fuel pump. If your security light is on or flashing it's a vats issue. It'll probably take you 30 minutes and cost you about $5 to fix. Click that link up there in knights post. Plenty of info in there.
