security light
ok the security light has been coming on and off for awhile now but the other day at work i had trouble gettin her started. now what should i do just get a new key??(looks fine no bangs), or get a new ignition cylinder or do i need a whole new ignition switch?? tks in advance http://www.ls1.com/forums/images/smi...eadscratch.gif

in the area i live i don t feel to comfortable in the bypass. my others cars have been broken in to 1( tercel 2 ( dakota 3( basterds got my new silverado too..

and by the sounds of it i just need the key cylinder right?? not the whole ignition.

yep you'll need to have the ignition lock cylinder replaced to keep it functional

you're most likely looking at a trip to a dealership to get the cylinder installed.....might want to price that out and price an aftermarket alarm and doing the bypass. If vats failed once it'll most likely fail again at some point.
