The 2nd from the right is the gray wire (the one that gets hot). The one with the issue is the black wire, where the connector looks fine (2nd from the left).

So how does the pin look?

I find it odd that we are both 98's and we are having the same issues.

Here is a pic of the pin. They go to the top 2 middle ones.

I don't think it's the pin, because if I hook it up using the racetronix wire harness, I only get the issue when I wiggle the stock black wire going from the racetronix connector to the pump.

Ok....but I'm still seeing what looks like the connector got hot on the same pin as the grey wire. If possible try cleaning the pins. If you notice it looks darker then all the other pins.

Again we are having the exact same issue. I ended up getting a new assembly and transfer over my Racetronix pump. So far it's going well. I also did what I told you about closing the wire connectors a little to make them tighter when it is pressed onto the pins. I believe that when you push out the wires to connect over to the Racetronix harness that the connectors can widen out enough that it doesn't make full contact with the pin.

I will try to close the wire connectors to make sure proper contact is made. I might end up cutting the wire and reinstalling the terminal, but it will probably be uncomfortable to do that with the limited space.
