scratching windows
Hello, can anybody help me with my windows starting to scratch again on my trans am? I have already replaced the weather strip/window guide along the top of both doors a few years ago. Now I am looking for two new windows and have to re tint them again but would like to aoid having this happen yet again...thank you again for all your help in the past too!

Are the scratches in the same place as before or different spots? Did you replace the window stabilizers?

is it the glass or tint that is scratching?

i had the same issue on my driverside window..i had my windows tinted twice & kept tearing in the same area.i purchased new stabilizers & now theyre fine.they costs me $10.13 a piece & there are 2 on each door.GM part# is 10257988

windows scratching
thank you everyone for all the help. No I did not replace the window stabalizers just the strip /guide on top of each door which was like $120 back in the day and the scratches are on the outside but I did notice one little circle rip in the tint about the size of a nail head on the inside? Any idea what these scratches on my outside glass are from? Should I change these stabalizers ?.thank you so very much guys..........just one more week and she'll be put away for winter

guys, what are the stabalizers for and does any body have a diagram of them and where they are located in the door?

had a friend put mine in..they are brackets w/ felt on them,they help stabilize the window while rolling up/down.not sure xactly where inside the door panel theyre found,sorry
