    Rough Idle

I've got a bit of a problem with my 00 TA 6 speed. I only have a SLP lid and Slp LMII and just recently changed wires, o2 sensors, clutch, pilot bearing, throwout, bell housing seal and rear main seal. I origanally took my car in for a rough idle, and found multiple leaks due to the pilot bearing being destroyed. When I am parked the engine has a idle as a boiling radiator would have. The roughness of the idle is not constant and no internal knocking at all. I can see the tension pulley move everytime that I feel the "boiling" idle. Need help,Any suggestions?

maybe one of your plug wires isnt all the way connected. Did you use dielelectric greese in them? moisture could cause misfire too.

Used the grease and all are plugged in correctly, check! Had the engine checked for misfire and there was none recorded for 15 minutes even though the rough idle was happening.

I read a few other threads and saw something about cleaning the MAF and TB. Tried that as well and still have the same idle. I will try to locate a vaccum lead. What is a good way to find out if there are leaking?

i havent done it with a fuel injected car but, starting fluid at a vac leak will make the engine rev just slightly. A little goes a long way though.

Could be an intake leak also not sure if your year has an egr valve but mine was leaking around there once. It would cause it to run like shit.

check the pcv hose for cracks, it runs into the intake on the passenger side. Check the backside of the hose and see if it's cracked.

You might want to check your spark plugs for cracks in the porcelain. I've heard of this sometimes being the cause of a rough idle/misfire.
