    Exclamation Rims & Headlamps

    Ok I have two questions.

    1. Anyone know where I can get the blue headlights for the trans am
I just ordered Halo fog lamps and I don't want my headlamps to have that dull color while the fog lamps are looking good

    2. Whats strong that I can use to clean my rims
Their black with a chrome lip and the chrome lip is HIT
I scrub and scrub it with all different types of rim cleaner and soap but I cant get it clean
I need something very strong because whatever it is on my rims isn't coming off. It just looks dirty but it wont come off like regular dirt

    98 Formula WS7-sold:(

I looked around for blue lamps, but could not find any. Instead, I ordered a HID conversion kit. It cost like $350, but they are really bright. Go to www.ledgauges.com thats where i got them
TSP Torquer V2 cam, ported heads, fast 90/90 combo, LT's, 3400 stall, magnaflow CB, most other bolt ons, full suspension, t-top and HID conversion

I would try a clay bar on the wheels. I'm not sure what kind of dirt you are talking about, but a clay bar can do wonders.

I would look into some kind of chrome polish or cleaner. Sounds like its in the chrome and not just surface dirt.

I got my set on eBay. I paid about $250 for the set. It's a snap to install them; direct swap. This is like the kit I purchased. So far, works like a charm!

    Totally!!!

Here are a couple shots of my install:

    Here's how easy it is.

    (1) Disconnect the lowbeam bulb from the car's power wire
    (2) Connect the car's power wire into the ballast
    (3) Connect the power wire FROM the ballast to the HID bulb
    (4) Insert the HID bulb into the headlight housing
    (5) Find a suitable place near the headlight to mount the HID ballast
    (6) Repeat installation for the other lowbeam bulb

It really is that simple. Just follow the instructions included.

    Happy HID lighting!!!

    Fade2:

Yeah, apparently, they're becoming harder to come by. I've been hearing about more and more Camaro owners going this route; specifically Camaros because the Firebirds have a different headlight setup. For our cars, again, it's a direct swap.

Try using black magic cleaner/polish on the lip and see how it works.

I would have to look but I don't think hid's are plug and play for the firebirds like they are for the camaros.

have you tried eagle one never dull on your rims? A local guy had some rims in bad shape and said that stuff made them look like new again. Might want to give it a shot.

Fade2Black if you wanna go non-Hid's check these out.

I just ordered the HID kit from ledgauges.com myself. Orion is right. Most headlight conversion kits for a Firebird\Formy\T/A require cutting and crimping/soldering. Nothing impossible by the looks of it. There is a cool install write-up on the ledgauges.com website for our cars. Everything is better than our crappy sealed beams IMO. I would have even gone for the Silverstars from Sylvania if they made them for my car.
