    rev limit

right now my rev limiter is set at 6k rpms because my injectors are hitting 100% duty cycle at this rpm. New injectors are in the works and I was wondering what you guys would say a safe higher rpm would be. how fast are you guys spinning? dragonslayer 4" crank, callies "H" beams, diamond forged pistons,A.F.R 210cc heads with dual valve springs. the rotating assy. has been balanced twice.(once by texas speed again by my machine shop) I'm thinking 7500 rpm.

You'll probably get more responses if you posted in the general help section or the internal engine section.

But I think you need to know your HP/ torque curves to know what you should be running the limiter at.

KM is right, why spin the motor higher if it isnt making power/torque.

Depends on the peak and what kind of drop it sees after the peak.

i meant that as a max obviously i would stop it when peak hp and tq were met :-) at what rpm do you think i will find the weakest link?

The only way I know to figure that out is the hard way, which I'm sure you don't want to do. Or if another member happen to find out the hard way.

Would get your power curves, determine your shift points, and set the limited to ~200rpm higher. Unless, for track purposes, your an m6 and need to run the rest of a gear out instead of shifting because within 100ft (or whatever close distance) of the finish line.
