    i think they are a scam as most of them require you to pay them to join.

    Like said above, Most of them require a membership which has a fee and it really doesnt provide any info that you cant allready get for free.

    Most repos that I have seen were barely worth their scrap value. There was no way the lending institution was going to get their money's worth. Keep in mind not all repoed cars will get thrashed. I would suppose that there are some great cars out there.

    Sometimes you can get a great deal on a used car from an individual. Just keep an eye out. I picked up my 99 Trans Am 3 years ago for about $3,000 under it's book value from a guy that decided his money was best spent elsewhere.
