Replacing Baer Brakes - need fitment help

    Hello,

My '98 Camaro has Baer Brakes on the front - 13.15" cross drilled rotors. They were on the car when I bought it, I believe purchased as a part of the Baer Claw Brake System (GT+) Front:

I need to replace the front rotors and pads, but don't want to break the bank so I'd rather not spend the $ on Baer.

Any advice on what brand/part to buy? Will 12" rotors fit with the Baer calipers intended for use on their larger 13.15" rotors?

    Thanks!
    Bill

I doubt it. The pads will probably hang off the edge of the rotor.

    Agreed. Not a good idea.

The thickness of the rotors is probably different too, as well as the rotor offset.

With a kit like that, the only way to go is to get the proper parts.

What you could try to do is cross-reference the Baer part numbers online and see if another manufacturer makes the same part.

Spend the money and replace with Baer parts, look at it this way, which is worth more, expensive brakes or your life?

Thanks guys. This is odd, but I can't find the part numbers for just the rotors/pads, only the entire kit (which includes the calipers). Any advice on places to buy the rotors from or how to determine the right part nums?

    Thanks,
    Bill

call Baer directly and ask them. Thats what I'd do.
