Navy Blue Metallic- 2000 Pontiac Trans Am
Replaced PCV valve Noe car WONT RUN
i already had a thread that included this topic but it had a different miseading title...
i was replacing my PCV valve and accidently broke the plastic line thats connected to it
the plastic line runs along the side of the intake manifold all the way up behind the engine somewhere..
i connected a hose from the cracked part to the PCV valve so that there would be no leaks
when i turned the car on, it revved to 2000 rpm and then it died
i tried turning it again and it still does the same thing.
does anyone know whats wrong??
i took the EGR out so that it wouldnt be in my way but then i replaced it.
this isnt the first time i've taken the EGR out...
so basically i am going insane to try to figure out what the problem is and what i did wrong
any help would be appreciated...
thanks

We went through a lot of checks yesterday, let's start with details of any mods, and pictures of your intake, throttle body, etc. Can you load some photos?

ok i plugged the EGR on the intake with 1-3/8 expansion plug
i had to do it because they said it was illegal
the car is working fine now...
but it smells like gas more
is this because the EGR is out?
thanks

Thunder Racing (sponsor) carries both. Look at their site under "exhaust accessories".

The EGR only operates at cruising speed so blocking it off will not affect the "gas smell". You probably want to give the car a chance to run a few cycles and relearn.

Also, since you do have cats you might want to keep the AIR system.
