They happen just rear of doors on the tops of the 1/4 panels......................can't miss them because the body looks sorta of WRINKLED and pushed. My 99 wrinkled the passenger side badly.

The dents you are showing are from something hitting and dinging the body. The 1/4s don't wrinkle back there! GEEz you guys really think up some good ones.

its roughly around the same area, i wouldnt doubt thats what they are. Every piece of metal fatigues differently etc, it is very possible that they could go back that far

Id like to see the dry ice trick because it would be a bitch to remove it from the other side. Torque dimples are just part of unibody cars imo

Top of the passenger rear 1/4 is where mine was. I got sub frame connectors as soon as the first one appeared.

seems like it to me too I have never heard or see anything about it. I think PDR (Paintless Dent Removal) is your best bet to fix something like that with out haveing to repaint.

99 RTA you're incorrect bud. My car has 22K original miles, I purchased her off of an elderly gun that never took it in the rain, drove it approx. 1200 miles a year and never saw a track day in its life until I got it.

The first thing I checked for before signing the money over was the infamous dimples and there was ZERO! How do I know that my car wasn't hit/dinged or leaned on? Well I never leave the car unnattended. If I have to go to a store, movie or anything else that involves me not actually driving the car, I take my beater car.

Here are some pics of the car last year, before it ever saw a track day.

how do you get shopping mall dents on top of the fender? i thought the dimples looked oddly located for torque damage too, but if the owner says they werent there when he bought it and it never leaves his sight, and he runs it at the track

I've had 3 4th gens now and currently own 2, one is a vert. None of them have ever had these infamous dents on the tops of the quarters. And yes I do race them occasionally. And no I don't use subframe connectors.

I do however have what appears to be a couple of door dents on my wifes daily driver 4th gen. They are low on the quarters just above the plastic bumper cover. One had a different color rub mark on it, I assume from another car

biggest problem now is the original question was: how to get rid of them and did anybody have luck with paintless dent removal. it is now: how did you get the dents.

Not a problem at all. I've used paintless dent removal. Guy came out to the house and fixed them on the spot.
I've done this on original paint cars where doing a paint repair was out of the question. Looked beautiful when he was done. It's definately the route I would go again when the time comes.

After fixing them, get a rigid set of 3 point sub frame connectors, and you should not experience the problem again.

A aftermarket torque arm (BMR) would inhibit the axle from twisting.
