rebuilding a flood damaged engine & trans.

I'm checking the prices of flood damaged 2010 camaros just for the LS3 and trans.

I'm thinking the motor could be dissassembled hone block reassemble. then just clean the trans.

Then just sell off the body panels & reuseable parts.

is this a flood car a bad idea?

I have heard folks talk about draining the oil from the motor and vacuuming out the remaining water with a shop vac or using compressed air to blow out the remaining water in the cylinders from the spark plug holes in the heads. The trans is, if I remember correctly, completely sealed so I don't think water could get in. I could be wrong though so don't quote me.

Fill that block up with diesel fuel...it'll lube all the shit and still be able to drain completely... At least that's what my dad did on an old sb chevy... Worked great
