    rearend removal help

    Im dropping the rearend in my TA and looking for help on how to remove the emergency brake from the spindle. i want to drop the thing whole. what can i do????????

    Remove the wheel, unbolt the caliper bracket and remove it and the caliper as an assembly -- best to hang it from a wire hook so as not to put pressure on the brake hose. Remove the rotor and you will see the e-brake assembly. The cable can be pulled of the lever on the back side of backing plate after you slide the cable sheath out of its bracket. You have to pinch the fingers on the cable for it to slide back through the hole. After the cable is off, simple push the e-brake pad assembly upward to disengage it from the small retainer and then pull the top outward slightly as you slide it back down and off the piston.
