Rear Panel Sensor

Checked my rear lights this morning and came across this sensor when removing the panel. Anyone know what it's for? Remote Rear Hatch release?



By the way, if you don't check very rarely or recently purchased your TA, it would be advisable to pump up that spare tire to 60 PSI...... mine was flat as hell since I didn't check it 3 months ago after picking up the vehicle.

Thanks for the reply... you have one on your vehicle? I don't have one of those sensor on my newer 2001 TA.

Hmmmm.. I'm thinking, does it need to be dealer activated to function....... like when you purchase a new vehicle and they ask if you want LO Jack.....it's installed but not activated.

No its already working. If you take that sticker off and turn the little knob, its adjusts the sensitivity. You can make to where someone just bumping into your car gives makes it give em a few warning beeps.
