Random question about timing and octane
Had a buddy give me a can of 100 octane for free. The car definitely felt more smooth and responsive with some in the tank. Im aware that the Carr would have to be tuned accordingly to get the maximum benefit from the higher octane gas. What I want to know is if the computers natural ability to add or subtract timing due to fuel conditions will add any benefit. I know any result would be negligible on an actual dyno. But the butt dyno definitely approves. Is this psychosomatic or real? My car is already tuned pretty aggressively. And like I said, it feels stronger and more responsive.
