RamAir lower box does not hold filter properly

I have a RamAir T/A with a K&N filter and the filter flops around in the lower box. I'm sure this is letting debris pass through and into the throttle body. Does anyone know if there is a piece that holds the filter in place and if that piece is molded into the base or just sits inside of it? What I'm asking is can I purchase just a part for the inside or do I have to shell out and buy a new base from GM?
BTW, I want to thank everyone for helping with all of my questions on this vehicle.

There is supposed to be a tray that the filter sits in. It's generic to all the cars ram air or not

I believe K&N's for our cars need to use some sort of additional "weather striping" type of of a strip that goes around the filter's edge so that it fits snug.

be prepared that lil tray your talking about cost like 125 or something. i couldnt believe it. the owner before me i guess try to cut the back half off to get more air in i guess but just scwred everything up soo,

If you didnt buy your K&N Filter new and need the Foam weather strip contact K&N and they should send you one. If you do have it and it still moves around then your lower box may have been cut
