    Ram Air Mod

Whats up i seen a couple of people on cardomain.com that have drilled out the rivets on the restriction plate under the hood and removed the piece. I was wanting to know if this really matters at all or if it will hurt my car?

do it, its worth it, i did it to my Z28 and when you do buy a lid and K&N and you should get about 15-20 hp i believe, it breaths so much better and makes a very noticable difference

Took out baffles, sealed hood to air box, K & N and direct flow lid.... Really helps, plus I get 30 miles more per tank full of gas

If you drill out the baffles, be careful while driving in the rain!! You will now have a "ram air" effect with water water-logging the filter, and trying to get into the motor. I'm not saying not to do it... just keep that in mind.

Dont mess with the baffles just cut out the lower airbox. You ruin the hood when you cut out the bafflles and the lower airbox mod is more than enough intake area for the car.

On the WS6's and SS's from what I hear the K+N's don't do anything for power gains at all......just a waste of money. Fwiw.
