    Racetronix pump whinning

Hi guys. Does the racetronix fuel pump setup with wiring harness whines when the pump gets hot? My pump is like 6 months old and lately i noticed that no matter the fuel level after an hour or so of driving it starts to whine. Should i worry about this? I'm not liking this as that was the reason I got the pump in the 1st place. Any input? thanks.

lol i tried video before but the exhaust is loud and you cant hear it. I can only hear it when I lower the window down or open the door with engine at idle after running for like an 1/2 hour.

I'm of no further help, only thing I can think of is the sound when it first primes when you turn the ignition. Call racetronix and see if they are of any help.

the priming noise is normal before you start the car this whinning is constant while the car is running. I keep reading than when the pump whines is an indication that something is wrong with the pump. Racetronix says that is normal but other people tell me that is not.

My friend (I think he's on here) has a pump on his Camaro and I can hear it over his cammed LT1, with the exhuast dumped before the axel. So a noisey pump isn't always a bad thing.

My concern would be the same as yours, it didn't make the noise when you first got it. I would look over all of the connections (electric) and make sure there tight. Maybe run some fuel system cleaner through it, incase it's getting gummed up.

Is there any kind of warranty for it? Where is it located on your car?

well it didn't make the noise when i got it. As far as warranty they don't offer any anymore for fuel pumps. I think I'm going to get a spare pump and have it in my garage just in case.
