    Quick Guesstamite

hey guys just wondering here, my father-in-law asked me a question that i didnt have a real range off the top of my head. he wants to convert his '02 Saturn from a manual to automatic transmission. any idea's how much that might cost???

i had in my head somewhere between $500-$800 but i don't know if thats anywhere near close at all. Any guesses?

    thx guys

its a saturn why doesn't he just sell it and get an auto? hell of a lot less work.

But to get into your question without knowing prices he has to change the tranny. take out the master cylinder, mu guess would be to get a new computer or re tune it. probably a lot more stuff too. once again a lot more effort that a saturn is worth.

yeah i figured as much, plus he's the kinda guy whose just gonna give it to a shop and tell them to do it. so i'm guessin he should either live with it or sell it and buy an auto then.

I couldn't even give you a ball park price but if he's paying someone else to do it I bet he could probably add an addition on to his house for about the same money.
